Pattaya Police Raid Nightclub and Arrest 8 Alleged Drug Users

Pattaya —

Pattaya police busted the “Dirty Pattaya nightclub” in Soi Kho Pai at 02:30 AM Tuesday morning, July 18th. Eight alleged drug users were arrested.

Roughly over 100 pub-goers were at the venue dancing and partying when the authorities showed up. However, as the police approached the pub’s entrance, the pub-goers spotted them and quickly scattered in all directions to evade arrest.

It was unclear if any managed to escape, but according to the Pattaya police they turned off the music at the pub and switched on the lights to proceed with ID checks and drug tests on the unspecified number of customers.

Finally, it turned out that eight individuals (six men and two women) were found to have purple urine, indicating that they had recently taken illicit drugs. The officers also conducted a search for weapons and drugs inside the customers’ vehicles because they reportedly heard someone firing a gun in the pub parking lot.

After the search, however, only two sachets containing white powder were discovered in one of the vehicles. The items were seized as evidence.

The eight alleged drug users were taken into custody at the Pattaya police station. The police will also pursue legal action against the nightclub operators for allegedly allowing customers to take drugs in the venue.

The Dirty Pattaya nightclub is also the scene where a Thai man accidentally shot his own younger sister in her buttocks after trying to sneak a gun into the venue. His sister suffered a serious injury, while the man faced legal consequences.

The Dirty club was also raided several times last year such as here in November.

The Dirty Club was also raided in October of last year.
