Reader TalkBack: Should Pattaya Open Dongtan Beach Road to Traffic 24 Hours a Day?

The following is our weekly feature in which we ask our readers a current news-related question and then after a week or so publish a variety of diverse and interesting answers. These talkbacks are often read by Pattaya City leaders and relevant officials and we have been told they do factor in resident opinions to decision making.

This week, we want to ask our readers what they think about the proposal to open Dongtan Beach Road, connecting Pratumnak to Jomtien Beach, to traffic 24 hours a day. The road has traditionally been closed overnight to traffic but according to Pattaya City Hall due to the rapid growth of businesses in the Pratumnak area and night time bars and restaurants it makes sense to open the street overnight. Some local condo residents, however, are concerned about noise potential. You can read our full article about the proposal by tapping or clicking here.
