Police have returned to numerous daily checkpoints in Pattaya after almost two years of them being on pause due to Covid-19. Many local residents, however, have expressed their annoyance at this on social media but Pattaya police say this is about keeping everyone safe and not money.

6. Banglamung police raid a total of seven allegedly illegally open entertainment venues in Pattaya early this morning
Raids continue as, technically, bars and nightlife are still legally closed and supposed to be “restaurants”. The main issue in these raids, however, was allegedly being open past 11:00 P.M., the current legal drinking time.
