Pattaya City Police and Cetus Club Pattaya giveaway 2,300 sets of food to the needy during Covid -19 crisis

Pattaya City Police and Cetus Club Pattaya today (August 4th) gave away 2,300 sets of food to the needy during Covid -19 at the Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya during the Covid -19 crisis.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, many have people lost their jobs due to Covid-19 restrictions and mandated closures, with little to no financial aid from the government according to those affected.

A team from the Pattaya City Police led by Deputy Chief Police Lieutenant Padungpong Dooksukaew together with the ‘Cetus Club Pattaya’ gave away 2,300 sets of food this afternoon.

Law Enforcement officers led by Major Jeerawat Sukhontasap were assisting with all giveaways in the area to make sure there is social distancing, mask-wearing, and other Covid-19 precautions.

Major Jeerawat Sukhontasap, the head of Pattaya City Law Enforcement, told The Pattaya News, “This area at the Bali Hai Pier was previously used for people to do activities like skateboarding and before that tourism arrivals. However, during Covid-19, this area has not been used due to Covid -19 measurements and we have shut down sports-related activities and skateboarding due to concern about the spread of the virus. ”

Chonburi, home of Pattaya, is currently a maximum control zone, which means most businesses that are not considered “essential” are closed, including the popular tourism, entertainment, and hospitality industry.
