UK expat reportedly passes away from personal health issue in Pattaya house

A man from Northern Ireland has reportedly died from a personal health issue on his sofa in a Pattaya area house last night (May 17th).

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 10:00 A.M. at a house on Soi Thepprasit in Nongprue.

Rescue workers and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of a 52-year-old UK national from Northern Ireland on a sofa inside the house (The Pattaya News is withholding his name pending embassy and family notification).

His daughter in law, whose name was withheld, told police that the man had diabetes. He used to take medicine every day. Before he was found deceased the man had been ill and he was unable to eat and vomited for three days according to her statements.

Yesterday, May 17th, at 6:35 P.M., he reportedly sent a text message to his stepdaughter asking her to buy him boiled rice. When she arrived at his house at 7:10 P.M. he was found dead on the sofa.

His body was taken to a local hospital to find the exact cause of death.
