Former Pattaya Mayor and influential political veteran Sontaya Kunplome cast his vote in Pattaya for Thailand’s general election today, May 14th, saying he hoped at least 70-80% of eligible voters would come out and vote to decide the country’s political future.
Sonthaya went to cast his vote at Polling Station 29, Constituency 8, at Mueang Pattaya 11 School in Chonburi today.
He expressed his hope to see a voter turnout of at least 70-80%, emphasizing that it was the responsibility of the Thai people to exercise their right to vote. He also shared these feelings with The Pattaya News saying he still felt excited every time he got to vote in the general election.
The Pattaya News notes that Thailand’s last general election was held on March 24th, 2019, or about 4 years ago.
In Banglamung district, there are two constituencies: Constituency 8, with a total of 130,621 eligible voters, and Constituency 9, with a total of 115,148 eligible voters, noted The Pattaya News.
