A heavily intoxicated security guard in Pattaya was taken down by police after he threatened residents and tried to attack police.
The incident was reported to Pattaya police at 9:06 PM on Tuesday, May 7th. The officers quickly arrived at the incident scene at the Ekmongkol 4 Village in Soi Khao Talo, Pattaya, to encounter the unidentified security guard in a state of frenzy.
Surprisingly, the male security guard, who was in his mid-30s to early 40s, actually worked for the village. He was shirtless, shouting, swearing at passersby, throwing objects around, and even attempting to attack police officers, according to eyewitnesses’ accounts.
Eventually, officers needed to call for reinforcements and took the man down, without anyone getting hurt.
Mr. Prasert, a resident who was having dinner nearby, described the security guard as a normally hardworking and well-behaved person who had never been involved in any altercations. However, he suspected that the guard may have drunk too much alcohol, which appeared to have triggered his violent outburst. It was unclear if he had been drinking while working.
Police are currently investigating the incident. They are also considering potential charges against him for his actions. It is unclear if he will be terminated from his position as a security guard for his actions.
