Petty Argument Sparks Violence Among Pattaya Construction Workers

An argument about who was better at their jobs led to a violent incident between construction workers in Pattaya on Saturday night, April 27th. One person was slashed with a knife.

The violence was reported to Pattaya police at 8:36 PM. Police coordinated with rescue workers before over 10 officers rushed to the scene at a house within the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

There, authorities found the wounded victim, identified as Mr. Mana Inthachim, 47, who had sustained two cuts on the head and one on the back. Mana was bleeding profusely.

The officers encircled the incident area to apprehend the suspect, identified as Mr. Bunlue Sukjai, 48. The suspect surrendered himself peacefully. He was reported to be the friend of the victim and had just drunk alcohol with him.

An eyewitness, Mr. Anan, told The Pattaya News that he, the victim, and the suspect were construction workers. They were having a party when Mr. Mana and Mr. Bunlue began to argue with each other about who was superior at designing houses. Mr. Anan unsuccessfully attempted to prevent the fight before Mr. Bunlue pulled out a knife and slashed the victim.

Mr. Mana received initial medical treatment at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. The suspect was put into custody and expected to be charged for his actions.
