Pattaya —

A 34-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a group of individuals, including her former partner, at a nightclub in Pattaya early Saturday morning.

According to the victim, Ms. Aphasra Sri-tamphawa, the incident occurred around 4:30 AM on March 16th, 2024, at the Area 39 nightclub in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Ms. Aphasra stated to The Pattaya News that she encountered her ex-partner, a tomboy, and their new companions at the nightclub.

Ms. Aphasra stated that the situation escalated when the group, consisting of four to five women, allegedly physically attacked her. The victim gave CCTV footage to the Pattaya police, which showed the group striking her head, face, abdomen, and knees. Ms. Aphasra sustained injuries but managed to receive assistance from friends at her table.

According to the victim, the encounter reportedly stemmed from a previous online argument between her and the assailants regarding her past relationship issues with her ex-partner.

Ms. Aphasra filed a police report with Pattaya Police Station. The suspects and the victim are scheduled to be questioned on Tuesday, March 19th, according to police.

Pattaya police have at this time withheld the names of the suspects from the Thai media.
