Full-Scale Emergency Exercise Held at Terminal 21 Pattaya

Pattaya —

The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization and Pattaya City co-organized a large-scale emergency exercise at the front of Terminal 21 Pattaya on Friday, March 8th, to boost public and tourist confidence in the province’s emergency response capabilities.

The exercise focused on fire suppression and evacuation procedures in line with the Chonburi Province Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Training Project for Fiscal Year 2024. More than 200 relevant officers participated in the training to sharpen their skills in addressing emergency situations.

The exercise culminated in a full-scale simulation replicating an uncontrolled fire outbreak at the front of Terminal 21 Pattaya. The simulation involved an evacuation announcement, where volunteers were directed to a safe assembly point by officers. Additionally, it included scenarios with evacuting simulated injured individuals to allow officers to practice administering first aid.

Mr. Kritsana Kaewsawang, Deputy Head of the Chonburi Disaster Prevention and Operations Department, guided officers through the exercise. He told The Pattaya News that this extensive exercise aimed to prepare officials and the public for real-life situations and was to instill confidence in Chonburi province’s safety measures among the public and tourists.
