Mr. Deeo Kumarsing, the organizer of the event, told Thai media they were very glad to celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence. Indian and Thai performances were presented at the event to share their culture with the attendees and to bring joy and excitement to the crowd.

Independence Day in India is a national holiday observed annually on August 15th to commemorate the country’s declaration of independence from the United Kingdom on August 15th, 1947. Their new constitution was then first announced on January 26th, 1950.

The event also featured delicious Indian food and was generously sponsored by multiple organisations and groups including Jannaat Nightclub, H2O, and community groups as seen in the flyer below. Mr. Naresh Chander also was very active in organizing and promoting the event on social media and inviting guests.

The Pattaya News has many Indian readers, in fact, they are our third largest reader base behind only Thais and UK nationals, and we hope every one of them had a wonderful and rewarding republic day!
