Pattaya Police Apprehend Young Suspect in Attempted Murder Case

Pattaya police arrested a 19-year-old Thai man for an attempted murder incident on Wednesday, January 24th.

The suspect, Mr. Yanarot Suthi, 19, was apprehended on an arrest warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court on January 17th, 2024, on charges of attempted murder, possession of explosives, illegal possession of firearms, and causing an explosion that endangered public safety.

The warrant pertained to an incident that occurred on the previous day in Soi Wat Bunkanchanaram, where the suspect and his accomplices, armed with firearms and explosives, attacked their rival at the latter’s residence. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape unharmed despite the perpetrators throwing explosives into the residence.

Following the attack, the victim reported the crime to the Pattaya police.

Mr. Yanarot is currently being detained. Investigative officers are proceeding with formal charges, and further legal proceedings are underway.
