Burmese Boyfriend Assaults Girlfriend in Sri Racha with a Knife After She Refuses to Give Him Money to Buy Alcohol

A domestic dispute at a Sri Racha workers’ camp took a horrifying turn on January 23rd, 2024, when a woman was stabbed by her partner.

The victim, Ms. Aye (last name withheld), a 25-year-old Burmese national, suffered a cut on her left shoulder during the incident reported around 12:30 PM.

The alleged perpetrator, Ihman (last name withheld), 29, fled the scene following the altercation. According to Ms. Aye, Ihman is her boyfriend, and he reportedly stabbed her after she refused to give him 4,000 baht to purchase alcohol. In an attempt to defend herself, Ms. Aye gained control of the weapon at one point and slashed her boyfriend in the arm, causing him to run away.

Local authorities are investigating the matter and have issued a summons for Ihman to face charges. Ms. Aye is currently receiving medical treatment at Laem Chabang Hospital.
