Prime Minister Visits Flood-Stricken Areas in Narathiwat

NARATHIWAT (NNT) – Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin visited Narathiwat Province on December 26 to address the ongoing severe flooding in Ra-ngae district. Accompanied by government officials, the Prime Minister offered support to over 200 flood victims, including the elderly and children, sheltered at a local relief center.

During the visit, Srettha stressed the need for better flood early warning systems, acknowledging the frequent nature of such disasters. He distributed relief supplies, interacted with medical teams, and thanked officers and volunteers for their efforts in aiding the affected communities.

The Prime Minister also delivered royal animal feed donations to local farmers and checked on a military-operated mobile kitchen serving food to flood victims.

Before concluding his trip, Srettha visited a community devastated by the ongoing floods to gain more information on the crisis. Emphasizing the critical need for readiness, he called for the implementation of comprehensive strategies to manage and mitigate the persistent threat posed by floods in the province and the entire Deep South.
