At 8:00 PM, on November 10th, 2023, Pattaya tourist police officers, Pattaya City police officers, and other relevant agencies performed a field inspection on Pattaya Walking Street, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.
The purpose of the police inspection was to build confidence, safety, and peace of mind for foreign tourists on Walking Street.
The inspection of the entertainment district, Walking Street, was according to the Thai government policy preparing to embrace foreign tourists in the upcoming high season in Thailand. Another reason for the new policy was to provide a positive surge of nightlife tourists by extending the hour-service of entertainment zones to 4 AM in four pilot provinces including Chonburi, Phuket, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai.
Furthermore, the Pattaya tourist police officers publicized to foreign tourists and locals to report any wrongdoing activities on Walking Street via the number 1155, 24/7.
