National

On October 31st, 2023, the Economics Tourism and Sports Division and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports publicly revealed statistics on foreign tourists visiting Thailand from January 1st to October 29th, 2023, with more than 22,064,968 tourists recorded.

The top 5 countries visiting Thailand were Malaysia with 3,619,930 people, China with 2,765,906 people, South Korea with 1,313,117 people, India with 1,296,032 people, and Russia with 1,089,988 people respectively.
If classified only by date from October 23rd to the 29th, 2023, more than 505,672 foreign tourists had visited Thailand within a week. The number was higher than expected due to an increasing number of flights during the high season and the beginning of winter in Thailand.

From October 30th to November 5th, 2023, the Economics Tourism and Sports Division had anticipated that the number of tourists would increase from incoming European tourists and there would be an increasing number of flights for the winter travel season in Thailand.

Furthermore, visa exemptions in some countries such as Russia, India, China, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan would potentially surge more tourists.
