A group of teenagers hurled explosive devices at the house of a cannabis seller in Pattaya, frightening his family including a young child.
Local media reported that Mr. A (Alias) reached out to them on Monday, September 18th, to reveal his grievances involving his rivals who launched a merciless attack on his residence located in Pattaya, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, on August 9th.
The 28-year-old father of a young son explained that last month, he had a confrontation with a group of teenagers who were involved in the incident. This altercation arose due to an undisclosed misunderstanding, which subsequently fueled the group’s resentment towards Mr. A. This, in turn, led to heated exchanges and verbal disputes between A and them on the internet.
Mr. A claimed that he received threatening messages from the group, indicating their intentions to cause trouble at his cannabis shophouse. Then, things took a violent turn on August 9th at around 3-4 AM, when a gang of men with concealed faces arrived at his shop on motorcycles and started hurling explosive devices at it, totaling around 8 to 9 times.
Mr. A said he was not at the shop, but his wife and young son were there, and the incident terrified them.
The victim reported the incident at the Pattaya Police Station and urged the authorities to promptly apprehend the culprits, fearing a potential recurrence of the incident.
Problems concerning teenagers in Pattaya seem to be never-ending, as earlier this month another group of youngsters caused a problem by throwing a Molotov cocktail at his rival’s motorcycle, which injured him and completely destroyed his bike.
The suspects in this incident are still reportedly on the loose and the victim has urged police to find the individuals responsible.
