Pattaya Teenagers Firing Guns to Assert Dominance at Pool Villa Arrested

Two unassociated groups of teenagers hanging out in neighboring pool villa units in Pattaya were arrested on Thursday for firing guns in a show of dominance against one another.

The arrest took place at 9:30 AM yesterday, August 31st, at an unnamed pool villa, located in Jomtien, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

Pattaya police received a report from local residents that two groups of teenagers staying inside the villa were firing guns into the sky, causing alarm in the neighborhood. When police arrived at the scene, they found bullet shells of unknown firearms in front of one of the villa’s units.

Police entered the villa and apprehended 24 teenagers, comprising of 13 males and 11 females. Further examination revealed two magazines of ammunition, each containing 15 rounds, as well as four firearms concealed in the bushes behind the villa’s wall. The police confiscated these items as evidence.

The police also searched an adjacent villa unit where they found a separate group of eight teenagers. Inside one of their vehicles, a homemade pistol, along with two magazines and five bullets, were discovered. The firearm was concealed in a plastic bag.

Preliminary drug tests indicated the presence of illegal substances in the systems of 15 teenagers among both groups. After conducting interviews, the police took all suspects into custody for further interviews and legal proceedings.

This massive pool villa raid happened just one day after another operation in Sattahip which resulted in the arrest of over 52 youngsters.

The raid, prompted by a noise complaint, uncovered the fact that the kids were also on drugs and engaged in gambling activities.
