Pattaya —

A man in Pattaya had enough with a group of noisy teenage street motorbike racers and created a rap diss against them. Unfortunately, he ended up getting beaten for his creative efforts.

The violent altercation took place at a skate park near Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya last night, July 8th. Sawang Boriboon rescuers and police from the Pattaya Police Station rushed to the scene upon receiving a notification of the crime.

At the scene of the incident, the authorities discovered an injured person identified as Mr. Pongsapak Arampong, 18. The Thai man suffered blood-soaked wounds on his head and swollen bruises on his face and body. He was lying on the skate park floor surrounded by two of his friends. The rescue personnel performed basic medical treatment before urgently rushing him to the hospital.

According to one of the victim’s friends, Mr. Thanaporn Krueasup, 18, he said he and his friends had arranged to meet and practice skateboarding in that particular area. Then, a group of around 10 teenage motorbike racers arrived and started making loud noises. This displeased Mr. Pongsapak, so he expressed his dissatisfaction towards the group of teenagers by rapping insults at them.

The rap, however, provoked the teenagers, who briefly left the park and then returned with more men and weapons. The teenagers then attacked Mr. Pongsapak with a long blade and sticks. They hit him on the head, drawing his blood, and continued to beat him although he had already flopped to the ground. Mr. Pongsapak’s friends could not step in to help because they were largely outnumbered. Subsequently, the assailants quickly fled on their motorcycles.

Mr. Pongsapak is under medical attention at a hospital. Pattaya police are working on identifying all suspects.

Recent violent incidents on Pattaya Beach and the nearby skate park have terrified residents and beachgoers, especially those who like to come out late at night. People are also concerned over the fact that these incidents often involve minors who openly drink alcohol and smoke cannabis on Pattaya Beach.

This is the third major incident at the skate park in just about a month. Some area residents are suggesting the park be closed at night as a solution.

We will provide an update on the authorities’ solution to this issue once it becomes available.
