Large Truck Crashes in Chonburi and Traps Seriously Injured Driver and His Young Son

A large truck rear-ended another truck and trapped a seriously injured driver and his son inside the wreck. The accident took place in the Nong Mai Daeng Overpass in Klong Tamru sub-district of Mueang district, Chonburi province.

Sawang Boriboon rescuers rushed to the incident scene on Thursday, June 29th, to rescue two victims, Mr. Thongtham Kasemvimol, 52, a truck driver, and Mr. Pianpan Kasemvimol, 18, a passenger and son of Mr. Thongtham, after their truck crashed and trapped them inside.

The two victims were stuck in a white Hino truck after they accidentally rear-ended another truck and a taxi on an overpass. Thongtham and Pianpan both sustained serious injuries.

After they were freed from the truck wreck, they were immediately transported to Chonburi Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The cause of the accident is still unclear and under police investigation.

On another note, a sedan crashed into a guardrail and overturned near Pattaya in the early hours of Thursday, June 29th.

The vehicle suffered significant damage, and the collision was believed to be caused by a sudden rupture of one of the car’s tires. Luckily, no one suffered serious injuries.
