Our previous story:

Six unidentified victims have filed a reported to the Kukot Police in Pathum Thani. They told police that the Chonburi Provincial Police Commander Major General Kamphon Leelaprapaporn and about ten other officers, most high-ranking, allegedly extorted 140 million baht from them.

Now for the update:

The spokesman of the National Police Lieutenant General Archayanon Kraithong told the press on Saturday (June 17th) that the National Police Chief General Damrongsak Kittiprapas is preparing to issue a transfer order for the Chonburi Provincial Police Commander Major General Kamphon Leelaprapaporn and other relevant police who are allegedly related to the case.

They are going to work at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters in Bangkok in what is essentially an inactive post. They will not be working in their current positions anymore for transparency in the investigation, Lieutenant General Archayanon added.

A replacement for the Commander has not yet been officially announced although well-known Thai police officer and corruption fighter Surachate Hakparn more commonly known by his nickname of Big Joke is reportedly involved in the investigation.
