Pattaya Police Raid Club Searching for Drugs, Nothing Illegal Found

Pattaya —

Pattaya Police launched yet another bar inspection at 1 AM today, June 16th, specifically targeting foreign overstayers and drug users. However, they found nothing amiss.

Chief of Pattaya Police Pol. Col. Thanapong Phothi assembled over 50 law enforcement officers late at night to conduct a daily inspection of nightspots in the Pattaya area.

The main focus of this operation was to make sure that all foreign visitors had valid visas and that nightclub patrons were drug-free, according to Pol. Col. Thanapong.

The police searched a bustling club called Ying on Pattaya Third Road. They segregated individuals based on their nationality and gender and checked their ID cards and passports before conducting a urine test. Pol. Col. Thanapong revealed nothing illegal was found. They even went through customer’s vehicles looking for illegal weapons or drugs but once again nothing was found.

However, at a different venue Pattaya Police launched a similar raid yesterday and found three drug users among the pub-goers. The police said the suspects would be transferred to a rehabilitation center.
