Homeless Man Found Dead at Pattaya Motorbike Taxi Driver Shelter

Pattaya —

A homeless man passed away in his sleep at a motorbike taxi driver shelter on Pattaya Third Road this morning, June 15th.

The victim, Mr. Aree Sorapram, 44, was found dead around 7AM this morning while lying face-down at a Win shelter near Pattaya Hospital. He was wearing a black t-shirt and shorts. The Win driver, Mr. Suchai Thasom, 64, who was the first person to spot the body, told The Pattaya News he immediately contacted the authorities after realizing that the man had stopped breathing.

According to Mr. Suchai, Mr. Aree was often seen wandering around the area. He was always drunk and slept wherever he wanted to and was likely homeless. Today, he slept on the bench at a Win shelter, so Mr. Suchai tried to wake him up only to realize that Mr. Aree had stopped breathing and was already dead.

Pattaya Police responding to the incident said there were no signs of injuries on the victim’s body. They then transported him to a local hospital where an autopsy would be performed and his family would be contacted.
