Eight People Die after Minibus Collides with Trailer Truck in Chonburi

In total eight people have been pronounced dead after a minibus collided with a trailer truck in Mueang Chonburi.

The Chonburi Highway Volunteer Traffic Police told the Pattaya News that they were notified of the accident on Motorway 7 on Saturday morning at dawn (April 8th). Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged passenger minibus behind the trailer truck on the road.

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene while 15 people sustained injuries. Four more people have been pronounced dead at hospitals. Their names and nationalities were not immediately released by law enforcement.

Details on the crash were limited as of press time with statements from witnesses contradictory and incomplete, stated Chonburi police. Chonburi police planned to interview survivors and review their statements once they recovered from their injuries.

Chonburi Police are continuing their investigation to find the cause accident for possible further legal action.
