Banglamung-

A thief was arrested after he broke into seven houses in Banglamung within two months.

The Nongprue Police told the Pattaya News that they have arrested Mr. Chalermchai Ponkrai, 21. He was arrested in the Panat Nikhom district, Chonburi.

The arrest followed after seven victims filed reports with CCTV footage evidence to the Nongprue Police in two months.

Chalermchai chose unlocked houses before going inside to steal expensive items such as electronic devices, brand name items, musical instruments, and money. He sold those stolen items online and then spent the money in a flashy manner to show he had a so-called luxury life.

Chalermchai is facing charges of theft. Police are currently trying to trace the stolen items back to the victims but stated it was a difficult process as all of them had been sold by Chalermchai online to many different buyers who were unaware it was stolen merchandise.

Chalermchai has reportedly admitted to the crimes and plans to plead guilty, said police.
