More than 2,000 tourists on cruise ship arrive in Sri Racha

Sri Racha, Chonburi –

A cruise ship arrived in Sri Racha with more than 2,200 passengers that is set to generate 22 million Baht according to relevant officials.

Yesterday, (February 17th) at 10:00 A.M. a team of Chonburi officials led by the Chonburi Governor Mr. Tawatchai Srithong welcomed the QUEEN MARY 2 cruise ship at the Laem Chabang Pier.

Governor Tawatchai told the Pattaya News, “Chonburi has a pier for large ships and this time we have welcomed the Queen Mary 2. After the cruise ship docked at the pier, passengers on the cruise ship visited Pattaya, Sattahip, and Chonburi. Each tourist spends on average 10,000 baht which can boost the local economy.”

“The Queen Mary 2 is a British transatlantic ocean liner which carries more than 2,200 passengers and more than 1,000 crew members. After leaving Sri Racha today (February 18th) the cruise ship will be heading to Vietnam. The ship has been travelling around the world for two months before it is set to return to Southampton, UK.
