Police Seize Vaping and Cannabis Vending Machine on Koh Larn

Koh Larn, Pattaya –

The Pattaya City Police seized a vaping and cannabis vending machine on Koh Larn.

Yesterday, (February 10th), a team from the Pattaya City Police and officials from the Banglamung District Office and the District Public Heath Office went to Koh Larn. The automatic vending machine in question was found in front of a restaurant at the Na Baan Pier.

The machine was selling vaping and cannabis products. The machine was labeled ‘www.Hashtag-th.com’ on it with descriptions on how to get products from the machine. No owner of the machine showed up when officers asked. The vending machine was seized to find its owner for further legal action.

Locals reported the machine to the Pattaya City Police. They were concerned that this machine was easily reached by children.

Although cannabis has been decriminalized in Thailand, Ministry of Public Health regulations essentially banned cannabis vending machines last year. The final laws for cannabis have been held up in Thai Parliament for seven months now in a heated and polarizing argument over cannabis that may be a major factor in the general national election likely to be held in May.
