Two People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Phan Thong

Chonburi –

Two people were injured earlier this week in a vehicle collision in the Phan Thong district.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at night earlier this week in the Nong Tamluek sub-district.

They and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a damaged black sedan. The driver, Ms. Thanaphon Duangchuen, 27, was trapped inside. It took about 20 minutes for rescue workers to free her with a hydraulic cutter. She had broken her leg and was taken to a local hospital.

Nearby, rescue workers found a damaged truck. The male driver, unidentified and aged around 60, had sustained injuries on his arm and ear. He was also taken to a local hospital.

CCTV footage taken nearby showed that the truck driver, who was in the left lane, immediately changed lanes to make a U-turn at a place where barriers were placed to prevent vehicles from making a U-turn. The sedan driver who was driving at high speed collided with the truck.

The Phan Thong Police are continuing their investigation for the purpose of considering further legal action.
