Pattaya officials welcomes new temporary chief of police

Pattaya officials welcomed the new temporary chief of police after the former chief Pol. Col. Kullachart Kullachai was transferred to an inactive post reportedly due to his failure to tackle human trafficking issues in Pattaya.

Pol. Col. Mekawit Praditphon, the new temporary chief, was previously the Deputy Commander of the Chonburi Provincial Police. He will be temporarily serving as the chief of police at the Pattaya police station, while former chief Pol. Col. Kullachart Kullachai is serving at an inactive post at the Command Center in Chonburi. A search is currently underway for a permanent candidate for Pattaya Police Chief.

The new temporary chief was warmly welcomed by a group of Pattaya officials, including Phoomphiphat Kamolnat, a secretary and representative of Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches.
