25-year-old motorcyclist dies after hit and run accident in Sri Racha

Sri Racha —

A 25-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot after getting hit and run by an unidentified vehicle in Sri Racha.

Pol. Capt. Boonlai In-iam was notified yesterday, August 9th, of the hit-and-run incident on an overpass inbound to Laem Chabang port and rushed to the scene.

At around 9 AM, the body of Pittaya Jermcharoen, 25, was found lying near his black Honda Click bike along with his helmet, which reportedly slipped off his head. Rescue workers spent half an hour trying to give CPR to the victim but failed due to his severe head injuries. He was then transferred to Laem Chabang Hospital to await his relatives.

According to Officer Boonlai, Pittaya was hit by an unidentified vehicle while driving on a bypass. The culprit then sped away immediately without aiding the injured victim. This behavior was immoral and unacceptable, Officer Boonlai commented, and promised to arrest the suspect as soon as possible.
