Sattahip —

Morning rain left Sukhumvit Road in Sattahip inundated for hours, causing bad traffic congestion and flooding several roadside residential houses.

Local media reported flooding on Sukhumvit Road in front of the Royal Thai Marine Corps and Singsamut School this morning, July 21st, after the morning rain for hours had soaked the area.

The water at certain spots reached a knee-deep level, causing bad traffic congestion and damages to many residential houses, especially the ones close to the road. The explanation for the flooding from officials was that the drainage system could not drain the water to the sea in time, a problem that has yet to be resolved, according to reports.

Other ongoing construction sites were also chastised by the affected residents for exacerbating the situation.
