Thailand reports 12,888 daily Covid-19 infections with 126 additional deaths

Thailand reported 12,745 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 39 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 104 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 126 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 2,027,514 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 1,902,362 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 17,105 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 12,745 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,051, Sisaket  with 496, Buriram with 467, Chonburi with 432, and Khon Kaen with 399

The fatalities were 66 men and 60 women ( 124 Thais, 1 Myanmar, 1 Cambodian). 77 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Twenty-four of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Ninety-seven of them were aged more than 60.
Thailand has a total of 133,325,537 vaccines given, with 28,678 first jabs, 66,563 -second doses, and 88,489 third doses given yesterday.
