Thirteen Cambodian migrants injured after pickup truck overturns in Ban Bueng

Thirteen Cambodian migrants have sustained injuries after a pickup truck overturned in the Ban Bueng district over the past weekend.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident over the weekend on the Number 331 Road (Chachoengsao – Sattahip).

They arrived at the scene to find the overturned pickup truck on the road. Thirteen Cambodian workers had sustained injuries who were five men, five women, and three kids. They were all taken to a local hospital.

Nearby, Ban Bueng police found another damaged pickup truck. The driver, Mr. Wasin Sunatto, 40, told TPN media, “There was a trailer truck in front of me which was turning into a factory nearby. I slowed down my pickup truck. The other pickup truck carrying people in the bed of the vehicle crashed into the back of my pickup truck before it overturned.”

Police are checking CCTV footage nearby and continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident for further legal action.
