Pattaya –

A foreign tourist reported to Pattaya police after midnight this morning (April 23rd) on Pattaya Second Road that two people who appeared to be transgender tried to hug him and solicit him for sexual services, which he declined. He later found his wallet, which he said had 10,000 baht in cash, was missing.

The Pattaya City Police was notified at 0:16 A.M. by the 36-year-old male foreign tourist that the incident happened on Pattaya Second Road. His name and nationality were withheld following further investigation.

Police immediately inspected the scene and TPN reporters joined them.

The victim told police, “I stopped at a convenience store before walking back to my accommodation after a night out. On the way back to my hotel, there were two people who appeared to be transgender individuals that approached me and tried to hug me. They asked me to go back with them and sleep with them but I refused. They tried to playfully pull me with them and hugged me but I walked away.”

“I later found out that my wallet, which had about 10,000 baht cash inside, had disappeared. I am sure that they took it when they hugged me. I came back to the scene to see if the suspects were still present but they were gone, so I contacted law enforcement in hopes they would be able to assist me.” The victim concluded.

Police are checking CCTV footage nearby to attempt to locate the two suspects for further potential legal action.
