Banglamung –
Three people managed to escape uninjured after a fire broke out at a furniture shop in Banglamung early yesterday morning (April 12th).
Firefighters were notified of the fire at 2:00 A.M. at a furniture shop on Sukhumvit Road in the Huayyai sub-district.
They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the fire was heavily ablaze with lots of smoke coming from the back of the furniture shop. Three people inside the shop were rescued uninjured before being taken to a local hospital for a check-up for smoke inhalation.
The furniture shop owner, Mr. Banlang Kongsang, 64, told the Pattaya News, “I live at the furniture shop with my wife and my 6-year-old niece. I heard someone shout there was a fire from outside. I grabbed my niece before we ran out from the furniture shop. The cost of damages is estimated at about 50,000 baht. I don’t know what caused the blaze.”
The Chonburi Forensic Police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of the fire. As of press time, they had not made any final determination.
