A gold shop robber sped away with gold worth more than 600,000 baht from a pawn shop in Si Racha yesterday (January 31st).

The Si Racha Police was notified of the incident at 3:20 P.M. yesterday at a pawn shop in the Surasak sub-district.

Law enforcement arrived at the pawn shop to find the staff manager, Ms. Prapatsorn, 27, waiting for police. CCTV footage of the pawnshop appeared to show a male suspect who was wearing a helmet come into the pawnshop holding a blade. He broke the glass on a display case before taking several gold items.

Ms. Prapatsorm told police, “He pointed the knife at us before taking more than 600,000 baht worth of gold. He was wearing a full motorbike helmet so we could not see his face.”

Si Racha Police are hunting for the suspect for further legal action.
