Now, for the update:
A team from Chonburi Forensic Police Region 2 yesterday (November 13th) inspected the remains of the club. Months after the fire, the cause has still been under a broad investigation amid alleged disputes regarding the cause between those involved with the venue.
Major General Thanong Thongpradap, the Commander of the Forensic Police Region 2, told the associated Thai press, “This is our last scheduled inspection before we will conclude the cause of the fire.”
“It is possible that the fire truly started from an electric short circuit. However, there is more evidence and witnesses to compile and speak with and we have to continue our investigation.” Thanong stated.
“We have to be very careful with the investigation to find the exact cause of the fire as there are many parties involved with this venue and different points of view on what allegedly happened. After we have finished our investigation, we will send our investigation result to the Pattaya City Police for further review as soon as possible.” Thanong concluded.
A timetable for when a final announcement on the cause of the fire would be revealed was not given by Thanong. Thanong did not clarify the alleged disputes between those involved with the venue leading to the in-depth investigation.
