35-year-old man collapses, dies in Pattaya area graveyard, cause unknown

Banglamung –

A 35-year-old Thai man, who was otherwise healthy according to relatives, collapsed and died in a graveyard in the Pattaya area earlier this week.

The Nongprue Police were notified of the body earlier this week overnight at a new graveyard built by the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Soi Siam Country Club. Although graveyards in Thailand tend to be rarer, notes TPN media, they are still often used for Chinese residents or Thais of Chinese descent.

Police and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of a Thai man Mr. Anucha Pansukkhum, 35, in a remote part of the graveyard

Nongprue Police told TPN media no signs of struggle or wounds were found on his body. His motorbike-sidecar was found nearby parked on the grass.

His wife, Mrs. Panida Sitthisom, 32 told police, “Mr. Anucha had left our home at night to look for possible food and wood. He would often hunt in the area around this graveyard alone.”

“My daughter called me later in the night to inform me that my husband was found unconscious at the graveyard by a motorbike taxi driver in the area. We realized later that he had tragically passed away.” Panida stated.

Panida stated that her husband had no known health issues, however, he also refused to see a doctor and as far as she knew had never gone to a hospital. Nongprue police stated they would perform a Covid-19 test on the victim as a precaution.
