Thailand discovered a total of 14,403 daily Covid-19 infections with 189 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp Visanuyothin announced today, September 10th.
The fatalities were 92 men and 97 women with the most numbers recorded in Bangkok with 25. Of that, 185 were Thai nationals, three were Myanmar nationals, and one was a British national. The age range was between 21 and 103 years old.
Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension (89), diabetes (81), hyperlipidemia (45), kidney disease (27), and obesity (27). Six of the fatalities were bedridden patients.
Of the new cases, 12,770 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 1,275 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 341 were from prisons, and the remaining 17 were imported cases.
A number of 141,642 patients are still under treatment/isolation/medical care. Of that, 4,330 patients are in critical condition including 915 on ventilators. This is roughly 3.05 percent of cases that are critical while 21.1 percent of that is critical enough for a ventilator.
Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest numbers of patients were reported in Bangkok with 3,495, followed by Samut Prakan with 1,037, Chonburi with 802, Samut Sakhon with 678, Ratchaburi with 615, and Nonthaburi with 496.
A total number of 698,621 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 339,050 people had received their first shots, 358,403 people had received their second shots, and 1,168 people had received their third shots.
As of today, 15,610 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 1,352,953 cases with 1,107,391 recoveries and a total of 13,920 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
