The following is our weekly feature in which we ask our readers a news topical question and get their insight and opinions. We then share their feedback a week later and pick a variety of diverse and interesting responses.
This week, we want to ask our readers the following: How are YOU passing time currently during Covid-19 related closures, restrictions, and a partial lockdown in Pattaya?
Chonburi, which of course includes Pattaya, has now been a dark red zone as mandated by the Thai government since July 20th, 2021, which has many restrictions and measures such as a ban on dine-in, closure of beaches and parks, malls closed, and much more. Pattaya’s famous entertainment and nightlife have been shuttered since April 10th, 2021, with no sign of it being lifted anytime soon.
Many residents and ex-pats of Pattaya likely moved to the town for its reputation as a lively tourist town with abundant nightlife, restaurants, entertainment, beaches, tourist attractions, events, and things to do. It goes without saying that the current situation is not what many people living here came to Pattaya, Thailand for.
So we want to ask you, how are you passing the time? Are you using it constructively? Are you perhaps helping charity events? Are you binging on television or video games? Or have you made the decision to leave Pattaya even temporarily?
We want to hear what YOU have to say. Tell us on our social media channels, in the comments below, or if you prefer your comment to be private mail us at Pattayanewseditor@gmail.com.
We will publish the results and select a variety of diverse responses early next week!
