Happy Birthday to His Royal Majesty the King from the TPN/Pattaya News team

Thailand –

This Wednesday, July 28th, has marked the 69th royal birthday of King Vajiralongkorn, Rama X, which has also been recognized as a national holiday with major religious ceremonies and a public display of loyalty nationwide.

His Majesty the King was born on June 28th, 1952 as the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. At the age of 20, he was made crown prince by his father. He has been ruling as the King of Thailand since 2016 when his father, His Royal Majesty, the great King Bhumibol, died after a 70-year reign.

As a national holiday, Government offices, including Immigration, and main bank branches across the country will be closed and other business disruptions are also possible in order to celebrate King Vajiralongkorn’s birthday. Due to Covid-19 precautions many celebrations will be online or toned down, however.

Portrait and symbol flags of His Majesty the King are also decorated at homes, public buildings, and private businesses around the country to express their loyalty.

The TPN/Pattaya News team wishes His Majesty a very happy and healthy birthday. Long live the King.
