Banglamung Post office still open but has new Covid-19 restrictions, including a ban on sending food and plants

Banglamung –

The Banglamung Post Office is still open but food and plants are temporarily unavailable to be sent due to Covid -19 restrictions.

The Thailand Post Office has announced a temporary closure of some offices and late delivery. Food, fruits, and plants are temporarily paused for sending as delivery takes more time which might lead to damaged products according to the Post Office. All Post Offices in malls and department stores are temporarily closed until at least August 31st due to long holidays and Covid -19 restrictions that shutter most venues in malls.

The Pattaya News visited the Banglamung Post Office this afternoon (July 27th). People were visiting the office all morning with strict Covid – 19 measurements, including temperature checks, mask mandates, generous use of hand sanitizer, social distancing, and more.

Officials with the Banglamung Post Office stressed that most branches outside of malls were opened as normal, however, restrictions on certain types of parcels were in place due to Covid-19. This includes nearly all food, fruit, and plants as well as some other categories. Officials also stressed that packages could take longer due to travel restrictions throughout Thailand to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Due to this, people should understand delays were common and give plenty of time in advance for sending packages.
