Phuket –
Phuket island has welcomed gold medalist Panipak “Tennis” Wongpattanakit, her coach Choi Young-Seok, and the team of athletes, trainers, and executives from the Taekwondo Association of Thailand who arrived at Phuket International Airport this morning, July 26th.
Upon arrival, the team has proceeded with the Covid-19 preventive procedures for traveling to Phuket, according to the Phuket Sandbox project, and had a Covid-19 test at the airport before being warmly congratulated by Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew, Tennis’ father Sirichai Wongpattanakit, and Asst. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand.
Tennis bowed down on her knees towards her father, the coaching team, and the president of the Taekwondo Sports Association of Thailand to express her deepest gratitude.
The team will be staying in Phuket for 14 days following the Phuket Sandbox procedure. Tennis will travel around the island while helping to promote Phuket’s tourism and its beautiful tourist spots. The island will also host a traditional parade for everyone to join in congratulating the winning team on August 5th.
