Chonburi announces 359 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 with three new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 359 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with three new deaths, July 10th.

This makes a total of 11,251 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 3,840 still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 60 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.

Additionally, 7,351 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 304 people were released yesterday.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 68, Si Racha 118, Banglamung (Pattaya) 63, Panat Nikhom 5, Sattahip 11, Ban Bueang 36, Pan Thong 30, Bor Thong 5, Nong Yai 8, and 15 new cases transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

1.    Cluster at Thai Inter Submit Co., Ltd in Rarong, 17 cases

2.    Close contact from a previously confirmed case from Nutcon Corporation Co., Ltd. in Pan Thong, 9 cases

3.    Proactive case finding at the Chum Pae Moo Ka Ta buffet in Banglamung, 5 cases

4.    Risky occupation, meets a lot of people, 15 cases

  1. Proactive case finding at schools in Panat Nikhom, 1 case
  2. Medical staffer, 2 case
  3. Contact from a previously confirmed case traveling from risky areas in other provinces
    • Bangkok, 1 case
    • Samut Sakorn, 1 case
  4. Close contact from a previously confirmed case from Star Technology Industrial company in Rayong, 8 cases
  5. Duck Sung Co., Ltd. In Rayong, 1 case
  6. Close contact from a previously confirmed case from Thai Spring Fish Co., Ltd in Rayong, 1 case
  7. Contact with previously confirmed patients:
    • 86 in families
    • 84 in workplaces
    • In funeral, 5 cases
    • In party, 1 case
  8. Previously confirmed patients (Which is under investigation), 45 cases
  9. Currently investigating, 77 cases

A total of 525 close contact searches were received today with 1,392 initial proactive searches, and more proactive search reports are pending.
