Chonburi announces 266 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 with one new death

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 266 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today, as well as one new death, July 6th.

This makes a total of 10,023 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 3,639 still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 52 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections in early April. One new death was announced this morning, although details were not provided.

Additionally, 6,332 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 291 people were released yesterday.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 71, Si Racha 82, Banglamung (Pattaya) 36, Panat Nikhom 2, Sattahip 8, Ban Bueang 13, Pan Thong 29, Nong Yai 1, and 24 new cases transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

  1. Siam Boon Mueang worker camp in Huay Yai, Banglamung, 12 cases
  2. Medical staffer, 9 cases
  3. Risky occupation, meets a lot of people, 7 cases
  4. Cluster at Pupan ice factory in Huayyai, Banglamung, 6 cases
  5. Contact from previous confirmed case at a party, 1 case
  6. Contact from previous confirmed case from Buriban Market in Bang Plasoi, Mueang Chonburi, 3 case
  7. Close contact from previous confirmed case, 3 cases
  8. Contact from previous confirmed case from New Market, Mueang Chonburi, 1 case
  9. Contact from previous confirmed case from Sattahip Morning Market, 1 case
  10. Contact from previous confirmed case from Rattanakorn Market, Si Racha, 1 case
  11. Traveling from high-risk areas, upcountry from Samut Prakan, 3 cases, Bangkok, 2 cases and Pathum Thani, 2 cases
  12. Contact with previously confirmed patients: in families, 71 cases and in workplaces, 58 cases
  13. Previously confirmed patients (Which is under investigation), 41 cases
  14. Currently investigating, 45 cases A total of 347 close contact searches were received today with 947 initial proactive searches, and more proactive search reports are pending.
