Bangkok –
A budget of 7.5 billion baht is arranged as compensation for all construction workers, entertainment venue entrepreneurs, and restaurant sectors who were affected by the order of business closures in six provinces for a month, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha announced this afternoon, June 28th.
The Prime Minister told the Associated Press after a meeting with the government’s economic sectors today that 50 percent of the workers’ wages would be distributed for one month as compensation during a construction camp closure in Bangkok and its vicinity.
The amount of money would also be planned for affected groups that are related to entertainment venues and restaurant businesses.

The Prime Minister further said that other measures would be introduced for other affected businesses. New financial measures might also be implemented, including the third phase of the Half-Half project and the “Ying Chai, Ying Dai” project.
The Prime Minister added: “Initially, we would provide a budget of 7.5 billion baht as financial remedy to take care of construction worker groups, entertainment venues, and restaurants in six provinces.”
“The government never neglected all laborers. The reason we announced the strict control in 10 provinces is to potentially reduce the number of Covid-19 domestic infections. Today, we have a budget of 7.5 billion baht to provide to all employees.”
Exactly how the money would be distributed was not yet clear, TPN media notes.
