The Sattahip Police was notified of the accident yesterday (June 16th) on Sukhumvit Road in Sattahip.
Emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a slightly injured foreign man, Mr. Michale (no last name was given to the press), 53, a Swedish national. Mr. Kwanchai Kongprasert, 53, who is deaf and disabled, had sustained serious injuries.
They were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance. Nearby first responders found two damaged motorbikes belonging to the injured drivers.
A local woman nearby used an umbrella to cover the injured men from the hot sun while they waited for medical assistance and was given significant praise on Thai social media for the act. She declined to give her name, simply stating that she wanted to help the two injured men however she could.
Local witnesses nearby said the two injured men were driving the same direction and might have tried to avoid a collision with another vehicle, inadvertently crashing into each other during the process.
Sattahip police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of accident and will speak to both drivers after they recover from their injuries to determine potential liability.
