Si Racha –

Two suspects have been arrested in Si Racha for allegedly selling E-cigarettes and vaping equipment.

A team from the Region 2 Police have arrested two suspects who were named to the press only as Mr. Chorwin, 24, and Mr. Arnon, 27, at a shop on Sukhapiban 8 Road in Nongkham yesterday afternoon, May 30th.

Police seized 52 E-cigarettes, 290 bottles of liquid filler, and other items used for vaping. The suspects both claimed that those items did not belong to them. They claimed they were just staffers who were working and selling them at a shop for their boss and claimed they did not know the items were illegal. Both men also claimed that they did not know who their boss was exactly, their name, or how to contact them.

Region 2 Police reported that the shop had been under surveillance for some time and was a significant source of vaping equipment and supplies in Si Racha. Spokespersons with the police also stated to the press they did not believe the statements of the two men that they had no idea who their boss was or how to reach them.

Both men are facing charges of offenses to the consumer protection law for selling vaping and vaping devices. Thailand has some of the strictest laws in the world around vaping.

Region 2 police are continuing their investigation to find the shops owner to face further legal action.
