Chonburi –
A major portion of a Chonburi area factory was collapsed by strong winds during a sudden rainstorm earlier this week in the Panat Nikhom district. No injuries were reported.
Rescue workers were notified of the incident on Wednesday afternoon ( March 31st) at a plastic factory in Baan Sa Na, in the Na Wanghin sub-district.
The rescue staff arrived at the scene to find multiple trees on the road near the factory and that several portions of the main building of the factory had collapsed. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
Staff at the factory reportedly told Panat Nikhom police that it was raining and accompanied by strong wind gusts before the collapse. However, the staff was in a secondary building during the collapse.
Factory management did not immediately release a statement about the incident or an overall estimate of financial damage due to the collapse of the factory building.
