Yesterday, (March 18th) ,officers led by the Banglamung District Chief Wuttisak Singdaecho, the Nongprue Police Chief Colonel Chitdaecha Songhong, and Banglamung Health Officers inspected a fresh market on Pattanakarn Road in the Nongprue sub-district.

The inspection follows an order from the Ministry of Interior to strictly check places where there are lots of people, especially markets as in Bangkok many of the recent outbreaks of Covid-19 had been traced to seafood and wet markets.

Only one entry is allowed for each market where people can be easily checked and provided Covid – 19 measurements before entering the place. This includes temperature checks, mandatory mask wearing compliance, hand sanitizer distribution, and more.

Special attention was paid to staff at the market using masks and proper measures as well. Migrant workers were checked to ensure they had work permits and had legally entered the country. Migrants illegally crossing the border without Covid19 checks had been a major concern for the possible spread of the Covid19 virus.
